Image Compressor
Compress PNG, JPG and SVG files in lossless or lossy mode so your pages load faster.
Need a photo under 50 KB for an application form or an upload limit? Set the target size and get the best-quality image that fits, automatically.
How it works
Set your target size in KB, or click a common size like 50 KB.
Drop in your photos. Each one is compressed to the best quality that fits under the target.
Check the final size, quality and dimensions, then download one by one or as a zip.
About this tool
Job portals, exam and government applications, visa forms and many websites reject images over a strict limit, often 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB. Guessing at quality settings in an image editor wastes time and usually ends in an image that's either too big or much blurrier than necessary.
This tool searches for the highest quality that fits under your target. If even low quality isn't enough, it reduces the dimensions step by step until the file fits, so you always get the sharpest possible result within the limit. Each file shows the final size, the quality used and any change in dimensions.
Type any size in KB or pick 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 KB or 1 MB.
Quality is searched automatically; dimensions shrink only if they must.
Bring every photo for a form under the limit in one go.
iPhone photos are converted and compressed in one step.
FAQ
Enter 20 as the target size, drop in your photo and download the result. For very small targets the photo may also be scaled down, and the new dimensions are shown.
If the image already fits at high quality, it isn't padded out. The tool stops at quality 95, as anything higher adds size without visible benefit.
Crop or resize first with the Image Cropper or Resize Image tool, then compress here. You can also set a maximum width or height on this page.
Choose JPG for forms and portals, since they almost always accept it. WebP gives better quality at the same size, but not every site accepts it.
