JSON Beautifier
Format JSON with clean indentation and line breaks so it's easy to read.
Explore JSON as an expandable tree instead of scrolling through thousands of lines. Search for any key or value and copy its path in one click.
Your JSON will appear here as a tree.
How it works
Paste JSON, drop a .json file onto the input, or load the sample.
Expand and collapse objects and arrays. Large documents render lazily, one level at a time.
Click any node to see its path, like $.items[0].name, and copy the path or the value.
About this tool
A JSON tree viewer shows hierarchical JSON as a set of expandable and collapsible nodes, much like folders in a file browser. Objects and arrays show how many keys or items they contain, so you can understand the shape of complex data at a glance and drill into only the part you need.
It's especially helpful for large API responses, analytics exports and deeply nested configuration. Click any node to see its JSONPath, like $.items[0].price, which you can copy straight into code, tests or a query.
Expand and collapse objects and arrays, or expand everything at once.
Find keys and values anywhere in the document; matches are opened and highlighted.
Click a node to copy its JSONPath or its value.
Large documents render lazily, one level at a time, so the page stays fast.
FAQ
JSONPath is a way to describe the location of a value in a JSON document, starting from $ for the root. For example, $.customer.email or $.items[2].sku.
Files of several megabytes work well because only the parts you expand are rendered. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files and text never leave your device, so it's safe for private or confidential work.
