Favicon Generator
Create favicons in every size you need from a PNG, JPG, SVG or ICO file.
Convert hexadecimal color codes to RGB values and back, instantly. Paste any HEX, RGB or HSL color and copy the format you need for CSS, design tools or code.
How it works
Type a HEX code like #C7F36B, or paste rgb(199, 243, 107). Short #RGB and #RRGGBBAA codes work too.
Or edit the red, green and blue values, or pick a color visually. Every field stays in sync.
Copy the format you need: HEX, RGB, RGBA, HSL or raw values. Click a tint or shade to use it.
About this tool
HEX and RGB are two ways of writing the same color. RGB describes a color by its red, green and blue channels, each from 0 to 255, for example rgb(199, 243, 107). A HEX code writes those three numbers in hexadecimal: #C7F36B means C7 (199) red, F3 (243) green and 6B (107) blue. Eight-digit HEX codes add an alpha channel for transparency.
Designers often work in HEX while code, canvas APIs and some design tools need RGB or HSL. This converter keeps every format in sync as you type, shows how readable white and dark text are on the color, and generates tints and shades you can use to build a palette.
HEX to RGB and RGB to HEX, plus HSL, RGBA and 0–1 values.
Supports #RGB, #RGBA, #RRGGBB and #RRGGBBAA codes.
See WCAG contrast ratios for white and dark text on your color.

FAQ
Split the six-digit code into three pairs and convert each from base 16 to base 10. For #FF6600: FF = 255, 66 = 102, 00 = 0, so the color is rgb(255, 102, 0). This tool does it instantly.
Convert each channel from 0–255 to a two-digit hexadecimal number and join them: rgb(255, 102, 0) becomes FF, 66, 00, or #FF6600.
The last two digits are the alpha (opacity) channel. #FF660080 is the same orange at about 50% opacity, equivalent to rgba(255, 102, 0, 0.5).
Both are equally supported. HEX is compact and common in design handoff; rgb() and hsl() are easier to read and adjust, especially with transparency.
